I’ve just come across the following 1999 ‘Twisted Sisters’ article on Goldenbridge. Everything I’ve been talking about for years at regarding atrocities in that hellhole tallies with contents herein. But, then that would only be natural, given that I, too, was there at the same time as survivors mentioned in the detailed article. It’s amazing how things panned out in the finality. Irish history has now been changed because of these women from Goldenbridge. [I should also include other institutional/clerical survivors such as Andrew Brennan, Andrew Madden, Paddy Doyle who also wrote about institutional child abuse when the climate was not right at all. Colm O’ Gorman, Michael O’Brien, Angry = a pseudonym – who pulled no punches with the religious when he wrote prolifically about child institutional abuse at Artane at Mick Waters den, Tom Hayes and Magdalen Laundry “penitents”, who are fighting so hard…
